Travis “T-Rav Da Champ” Klemann here with you WWE Raw Clash of Champions predictions. The first Raw exclusive PPV is being held in Indianapolis, Indiana at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse only on the WWE Network.
Enzo Amore & Big Cass vs. The Shining Stars (currently unannounced)
I believe Enzo & Cass will put a close to this feud with Primo & Epico as the timeshare salesmen have stolen wins in the past over The Realest Guys In The Room. They need a win to be back in contention for a shot at RAW Tag Team Champions. New Day or Gallows & Anderson, how you doin’?
Nia Jax vs. Alicia Fox
The obvious choice is Nia Jax, she’s been on a winning streak and Alicia Fox is not the person to bring that to a halt. This is probably building to a series of challengers for Jax until someone can finally knock her off.
Clash Of Champions:
RAW Tag Team Championship Match
Big E & Kofi Kingston w/ Xavier Woods vs. Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson
I’m hoping Gallows & Anderson win the tag team titles as The New Day have been champions for awhile and it’s time for a new duo to represent the red brand. After all, they promised to retire them as champs and could possibly split the team up in the process.
WWE Cruiserweight Championship Match
T.J. Perkins vs. Brian Kendrick
I’m conflicted about this match as I’d be disappointed to see a newly crowed champion to lose the title so soon but I’m also a fan of the returning Kendrick. However, I see the outcome being Kendrick winning the Cruiserweight Title as somewhat a consolation prize whereas he really wanted to win the inaugural Cruiserweight Classic Tournament. Kendrick won’t let this second chance to prove he’s the best superstar of the cruiserweight division slip between his fingers.
Sami Zayn vs. Chris Jericho
Zayn needs this win more than Jericho does as he’s a rising star in the WWE and Y2J is a veteran that’s been putting over most of the younger talent in his latest run with the company. Simply put, The Gift Of Jericho won’t be enough to defeat The Underdog From The Underground.
Best-Of-Seven Series Match #7
Cesaro vs. Sheamus (tie 3-3)
“The Swiss Superman” Cesaro will prevail over “The Celtic Warrior” Sheamus after fighting an uphill battle. Sheamus started at a 3-0 lead early on until a Live Event match where Cesaro managed to stay alive in the series. I’m curious as to when or how Cesaro will be able to “cash-in” on RAW GM Mick Foley’s promised championship opportunity. Could it even be as soon as immediately after the match between Kevin Owens and Seth Rollins? We’ll have to tune in and see this Sunday on the WWE Network.
United States Championship Match
Rusev w/ Lana vs. Roman Reigns
After their match at SummerSlam ended in a No Contest, I strongly believe “The Big Dog” Roman Reigns will defeat “The Bulgarian Brute” Rusev and become the new United States Champion. He’ll also be the third member of The Shield to win the prestigious US Title after Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollin each had separate reigns with the gold.
RAW Women’s Championship Triple Threat Match
Charlotte w/ Dana Brooke vs. Sasha Banks vs. Bayley
Considering her successful title reigns and past victories over her opponents in one-on-one contests and a triple threat match at WrestleMania earlier this year, I can see Charlotte retaining her title over Sasha Banks and Bayley. I expect she’ll get some assistance from her protégé Dana Brooke unless the referee ejects her from ringside mid-match. Although she may not require it as “The Queen” has proven she can be victorious without the help of Dana or her legendary father “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair.
WWE Universal Championship Match
Kevin Owens vs. Seth Rollins
I fully expect “The Prizefighter” Kevin Owens to continue his reign as the major champion of the RAW brand after defeating “The Man” Seth Rollins. I’d be surprised if I there wasn’t a Triple H interference to ensure Owens remains as champion and possibly set up a feud for either Hell In A Cell or Survivor Series. I personally would love to see Rollins vs. Hunter resolve their differences inside the ominous Hell In A Cell. There’s still the possibility that big match is being saved for WrestleMania 33 although one can hope for a match sooner or a lengthy rivalry leading up to a WrestleMania rematch. I also can’t imagine Kevin Owens losing the title so soon as he cherishes the championship similar to how Triple H did back in his day. KO aims to have a lengthy reign as WWE Universal Champion and won’t let anyone, let alone Rollins, take that away from him. Additionally, a mystery regarding the WWE Universal Championship is whether Cesaro or Sheamus could use the championship opportunity to face the champion whenever he chooses to “cash-in” perhaps as soon as the Owens – Rollins match comes to a close.
